At Plinths and Pedestals, we are deeply committed to protecting the environment while delivering high quality display solutions. Our dedication to sustainability is reflected in every element of our business. Here’s how we’re making a positive impact and why we’re eager to share our efforts with you.
We believe in utilising every resource to its fullest. Old or damaged plinths are repurposed into smaller units, shelving, or even glue blocks for future products. Our team embodies our ‘waste not, want not’ philosophy, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.
Minimising our environmental footprint is a priority. We focus on:
Cardboard recycling is a key aspect of our sustainability efforts. We recycle our own cardboard and encourage our hire customers to return cardboard corners for reuse. Plastic, polythene, and shrink wrap that cannot be reused are sent to Biffa for recycling. Excess paint is donated to local schools or a local boat model maker, giving it a new lease of life.
Efficient transport is essential for reducing our carbon footprint. We carefully plan our delivery routes to conserve fuel and upgraded our delivery van to a model that meets the latest emissions standards. This approach helps us minimise our environmental impact while ensuring timely and reliable service.
We are committed to renewable energy through:
Our commitment to energy efficiency extends to:
Collaboration with our local community is important to us. We work with our neighbours at the Industrial Estate “PIP” to recycle pallets. In return, we share a pizza with them every month, demonstrating how local businesses can work together for a greener future.
We are continually seeking new ways to enhance our sustainability practices and are proud of the progress we’ve made and remain committed to doing even more. Thank you for supporting us on this journey. Together, we’re making a difference—one plinth at a time!
